f(x)={x2+2,x1 This function will take the value for x less than and equal to 1 ........(˙1).
f(x)={x2+2,x>1 This function will take the value for x greater than 1 ..................(˙2)
(a)In f(-2) value of x is less than 1 so we will put value of x in
f(2)=22+2=4+2=6
(b)In f(1) value of x is equal to 1 so we will put value of x in (1)
f(1)=12+2=1+2=3
