Expansion of algebraic expressions are like multiply the term outside the bracket to the terms present inside the bracket. It is also called the expansion of algebraic expressions or removing bracket.

Or we can understand it by the following algebraic expression:

\(a(b+c)=ab+ac\)

So, the expansion of algebraic expression \(a(b+c)\) is written as \(ab+ac\).

Factorization of algebraic expressions:

Factorization is a process of finding the factors of the expression or it is also called as writing the algebraic expression in form of factors.

Or we can understand it by the following algebraic expression:

\(xy^{2}+yx^{2}=(x)(y)(y+x)\)

So, the factorization of algebraic expression \(xy^{2}+yx^{2}\) is written as \((x)(y)(y+x).\)
