A random sample of 165 flights com- pleted this year reveals that 153 were on time. Can we conclude at the 5% significance level that the airline’s on-time performance has improved?

Standard deviation of the proportion is:

$\sigma =\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}=\sqrt{\frac{0.92(1-0.92)}{165}}=0.0211$

Test statistics will be:

$z=\frac{\hat{p}-p}{\sigma}=\frac{0.927-0.92}{0.0211}=0.33$

Alternative hypothesis shows that the test is right tailed so p-value of the test is
