We have:

P=.IA=I(4pr2)  or , a(1r2)
Let IA
be the Intensity for A ;IB
be the Intensity for B and IC
be the Intensity for C
The separation of PB as
rPB2=PA2+AB2=20000
The separation of PC as
rPC2=PA2+AC2=50000
The ratio of sound intensities heard by observer A to that heard by observer B
So
IAIB=rB2rA2=2000010000=2
b) The ratio of the intensities that were heard by observers A and C.
So, IAIC=rC2rA2=5000010000=5
