When the resistors are in series the voltage drop across B is 6V - 4V = 2V
When the resistors are in parallel the voltage is the same across both A and B. Therefore you have the current andthe voltage across B and can us Ohm's Law to find the resistance.
R=VI=6 V2.0 A=3.0 ohm
Now jumping back to the series circuit you now have the resistance of B you can find the current using Ohm's Law
I=VR=2 V3 Ohm=0.667 A
and since current is the same in for all resistances in a series circuit this is the same current through A And B.
A=VI=4V0.667A=6?
