The measure of central tendency is a value data by which the whole data set can be described with a single value that represents the middle or central of its distribution.
There is three measure of central tendency.
Often, the median is the best central tendency for the skewed distribution.
But for categorical data set mean and median cannot be calculated.
Thus, the mode is the measure of central tendency which is best with a skewed distribution for the categorical (nominal or ordinal) data set.
